Product Applications Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY: The Product Applications Engineer is responsible for the application of products in cooperation with Sales/Marketing requirements and also to assist with changes and redesigns of current products as required. To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Key accountabilities: Design, develop, test, and release products following standard engineering processes. Manage application engineering projects within scope requirements. With direction from the Product Applications Manager, manages own activities and sets objectives so that goals are met. Provides prototype and finished product designs as required. Responsible for making sketches and rough layouts, record and analyze data, make calculations and estimates, and report on findings. Provides product design changes as required. Uses computers extensively to produce and analyze designs, to stimulate and test how an attachment operates and to generate specifications for the attachment. Works within Syteline and SolidWorks software to accomplish tasks. Verifies specifications on bids and special orders and other projects within designated product line and as requested. Responsible for Parts Item Master, Bill of Materials, and routing information to satisfy manufacturing requirements for new, redesigned, or special products within designated product line and as requested. Uses manufacturing engineering information in maintenance of Parts Item Master, Bill of Materials, and routings. Assist the Sales and Marketing Departments in the solicitation of new orders from existing and potential customers. Maintain contacts with manufacturers of Prime Movers for mounting and application approval information. Ensure that all product designs are aligned with existing manufacturing process capability and conform to contemporary industry and in-house standards. Implement and supervise product testing programs for new or redesigned products. Supply technical information and assist Marketing and Customer/Technical Service for use in publication. Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Technical Service departments to actively seek out ideas for new products and redesigns of existing products. Researches, specifies, and approves all non-standard purchased components and assists Purchasing with procurement of said components within designated product line and as requested. Responsible for all drawing information and accuracy within designated product line and as requested. Assist technical illustration in creation and maintenance of product manuals. Responsible for all product safety related issues within designated product line and as requested. Attends trade shows and seminars to remain current with trends in designing for cost effectiveness and manufacturability. Perform additional tasks, as assigned by the Product Applications EngineeringManager, as required to meet the needs of the customer, both internal and external. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Agricultural) preferred. Minimum four years prior work experience in a manufacturing or field service environment. Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical design and analysis in a construction or agricultural environment is preferred. Job Competencies: Experienced leadership and an innovative approach. Work environment: The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a manufacturing office environment. Occasional exposure to typical manufacturing areas may be required and will require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection. Employees must be mobile enough to navigate the manufacturing shop floor safely including walking and standing for up to four hours at a time. Office lighting will be provided. The work environment will include their own workstation or cubicle space equipped with a telephone, headset and computer.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
