Sr. Business Analyst

The business analyst works with IT project teams and business clients to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which applications and solutions are developed.  They will be responsible for defining, implementing and supporting organizational solutions and standards across multiple business divisions. The business analyst is an active thought partner and application visionary who shapes technology demand among the business community and has a strong customer service mentality, is results oriented, enjoys working with people and can work independently. REPORTS TO: Director, Information Technology,  IES KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  Manages assigned projects and is responsible for managing customer expectations with consistent and timely communications on scope of work, project schedule and project status. Works with business partners to elicit, analyze, and document business technology requirements. Works with business leaders and partners to define, implement and promote system and technology standards within and across business divisions. Liaises with IT project teams to communicate business priorities, translate business requirements into technical requirements and identify appropriate solutions. Facilitates regular requirement gathering and design sessions with user community and communicates expectations to the development team. Negotiates innovative business solutions that satisfy customer needs, are consistent with architectural guidelines, and conform to security standards. Works with multiple stakeholders to assess the impact of proposed solutions, facilitate deployments and minimize disruption to services. Works with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing. Documents user manuals to describe application installation and operating procedures. Coordinates the project resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Identifies opportunities for business-led delivery. Provides consultative support on business-led technology initiatives. Provide ERP process/application support and expertise to local and remote teams. Position IT as a service center focused on the needs of our internal and external customers Support all compliance and IES IT policy requirements ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: This individual reports to the Director of Information Technology, and must be capable of working well with both IT peers and business-users. A core element of this position is the ability to properly assess the needs of the internal customers and work closely with the IT Teams to develop and implement solutions that benefit to the business and user / customer. EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: The Business Analyst has these professional qualifications or experience: Ability to understand business functionality and translate it into application requirements Ability to create compelling business cases with accurate cost and effort estimations Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products Ability to partner with multiple stakeholders and influence project decisions Strong understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards Strong inter-personal and communication skills Strong customer service orientation Three to five years of manufacturing experience using a Tier 1 or Tier 2 ERP system Three to five years of experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment Ability to effectively manage projects using a defined methodology Good understanding of how to applytechnology solutions to solve business problems Strong understanding or experience of manufacturing in at least two of these areas: Planning and Scheduling, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Customer Service, Inventory, Finance The Business Analyst has these technical qualifications, skills or experience:  Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or equivalent professional experience 5 - 7 years of ERP experience, preferably with Infor Syteline (Cloudsuite Industrial) 3 - 5 years of experience in project management Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications Experience with various manufacturing and business systems desired (Insiteship, PaceJet, CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote), CRM, ShopTrak, DocTrak, Pronest, APS, MRP, Visual Dispatch, BarTender, Concur,) Proficient in MS Office productivity suite Ability to extract data or generate reports using tools like Crystal, Excel, Qlikview, etc Microsoft SQL Query experience  Additional skills (nice to have): Development (.NET, C#, Java) and scriptingexperience strongly preferred Understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) Understanding of modeling techniques, such as unified modeling language Creation and presentation of end user training material considered a plus Experience with Infor Syteline (Cloudsuite Industrial) events system and workflow a plus Advanced DBMSExperience (DBA) APICS CPIM Certification CBAP Certification OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives Ability to present ideas in a user friendly language Keen attention to detail Proven analytical and problem-solving ability Travel20 - 33% of the time

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
